Teen Trades Open iPhone for New Wheels

George Hotz rose to fame in iPhone circles last week for his efforts to unlock Apple's combination iPod and smart phone. His summer project paid off on Saturday when he traded the unlocked iPhone for a Nissan 350Z car and three 8GB iPhones. The teenager spend some 500 hours working to free an iPhone from exclusive AT&T service and allow it to operate on other cell carrier networks. In the end, his successfully unlocked phone was operating on the T-Mobile network.
