Should You Buy a New iPod - or Repair the Old One? |
Is it worth getting an iPod fixed? My 30 GB color iPod bit the dust. I see on Apple's Web site that it charges "up to a US$100" diagnostic fee, plus whatever to fix it. I can buy the new 30 GB video iPod for $230, so I'm wondering whether to get this one fixed at all. I'm fairly certain that something internal has gone very wrong inside the iPod because I get a disk error and I can hear clicking sounds coming from inside. My advice is to bite the bullet and replace the iPod with the new model.
