How Zune Will Try to Take Down the iPod |
Arrogance. Overconfidence. These themes run rampant in the initial reviews of the Microsoft Zune. Of course, that's expected. What we didn't expect is that overconfidence is exactly what Microsoft wants at this point. It's the same kind of overconfidence that John Scully and Jean Louis Gasse had at Apple in 1990. Eventually, they both left Apple in quasi-disgrace when Windows 3 took off. I will grant this: Apple's executive team is a whole lot smarter than Apple was in 1990.
