Autism Awareness Event Chooses Joomla! |
The 2008 Autism CARE Walk is proud to announce the launch of their new website. Joomla! and other open source code have allowed the Autism CARE Walk to implement a system that traditionally would have cost thousands of dollars. Users can raise money for autism awareness by registering for the walk 'in person ( )' or as a 'virtual walker ().' Once users have registered, they are invited to create their own personal fundraising pages. Each user can set a fundraising goal and invite their friends and family to visit their profile to make a pledge. AutismCareWalk.org () facilitates the 'friends asking friends' method of donations, which makes fundraising easy and effective.
