The popular component for database backup and restore is updated to version 3.1
This version runs on Joomla! 1.5 only and doesn’t need the legacy plugin to be enabled.
The features:
Can export any size database.
Can import any size database.
Backups are stored in administrator/backups.
Backups can be downloaded after creation.
For security reasons, you need to use your database username and password and to login.
Much faster than phpMyAdmin and similar tools
Can work on any host, any port and with any encoding
Please note that the default settings are:
Database host: localhost
Database port: 3306
Database encoding: utf8
